OUR HISTORY
The story of City Church began in 2010 at the Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, NC. The Summit Church, led by J.D. Greear, communicated a vision to plant 1,000 churches in 40 years.
City Church was birthed out of that vision and Pastor Trevor Atwood was compelled to plant one of those 1,000 in Murfreesboro, TN.
Jeremy Young, Executive Pastor, and Dustin Walker, Pastor of Families and Community, were among 27 adults and 5 kids who uprooted their lives to start City Church.
In August 2011 we held our first public worship gathering and by God's grace the gospel has changed lives.
